Funny, isn't it...?

Whenever I need speaker wire I go Home Depot or an electrical parts counter and buy #12 or #14 awg lamp cord by the foot. If the capacitance of such wire manages to roll off frequencies above 18K by 1 dB....I really don't give a damn.

I’m even more of a cheapskate. I get my speaker wire at garage sales and estate sales. People will sell a whole box of the stuff for $1. And if you’ve had to go to radio shack, et al to get speaker wire, you understand.

I now have a box crammed with speaker wire with some over 100’ long. Some of it is agw22 but most is 16 or thicker. I probably have all the speaker wire I’ll ever need, but still, when I see a bunch for a buck or a quarter, I have to buy it.
