You get what you pay for?

Well it’s over. 0bamacare is now law.

I agree with Chief Justice Roberts decision to uphold the United States Constitution and Article 1, section 8 which clearly makes it the duty of the Congress to “… lay and collect taxes. …”. My difficulty and objection to 0bamacare was the way it was passed into law and Speaker Pelosi’s remark “… you have to pass the bill in order to find out what’s in it.” which was plain bunk.

Personally I didn’t need additional government run health insurance and coverage because I currently have Medicare and VA medical with prescription drug access. However millions of American citizens, legal residents who work and pay taxes don’t have any health insurance or prescription drug coverage.

NO COMPLAINTS as long as we look down on the earth rather than up at it.

My wife is crippled with arthritis. My daughter is bipolar. A grandson is autistic. I suffer from advanced cancer, diabetes and I have had two heart attacks. Before 0bamacare none of us were able to get any private health insurance, nor could we have afforded any private policy because or our pre-existing conditions. That’s over now.

As a compassionate conservative Christian, people in the United States here legally or not need 0bamacare. I want to protect every beating heart from harm no matter what their age.

So far 0bama’s Chicago style politics has worked in Washington D.C. Now turn over the documents.

So your wife and others now have health insurance, pray tell me the name of the company or program that is giving them this insurance and what they are paying for it. I have family members with no insurance, they’ve been paying their own way and they are less than minimum wage workers, of course they can’t go to the doctor very often and sometimes I help them, I guess I won’t have to do that anymore, the government will do it instead? You seem so well versed in all this please tell me the where and how of it. So where is all this cheap/free stuff?

This law does nothing to insure the 26-27 million americans without insurance... elderly and illegal aliens included. It may help access to insurance for those who can afford it or are legally entitled to it.

It does mean that those of us who already buy private insurance, and have seen our premiums go up for the last two years... will continue to be burdened.

As a compassionate conservative Christian, people in the United States here legally or not need 0bamacare.

Why should I have to pay for people who are here illegally? For people who are breaking the law by their very presence in the country? Health care is not a right. You want to be compassionate, fine, I'm all for compassion. You take them to the doctor and pay for it. I've paid for infertility treatments for my daughter and her husband, not covered by insurance. But don't hold a gun to my head and force me to pay for jose illegal off the street.

Before Ocare... that is just sio much malarkey. The truth is that this bill has expanded governmental power an incredible amount. Moreover today’s ruling has turned this nation upside down.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

Congress can undo what it does. Get out the vote and get rid of the Rino’s and Rats and get-er done!

People won’t buy the coverage until they have to have it. I just ran my situation through several of the calculators that are online. Under the law in 2014 my insurance would run somewhere between $5,000 and $6,000 (purchased through the exchanges). The penalty would be somewhere between $600 and $700. I am 60+, in good health and run my own business. What I find astonishing that the exchange figures are considerably in excess of what I currently pay. In addition, if I understand it correctly, there is an additional tax on any health insurance worth in excess of $10,000 for an individual (who the heck figures out what a policy is worth anyway?).

This law has so many bad ideas and bad policies its hard to articulate them all. Someone needs find a concise way to start delivering the bad news to voters between now and the election.

Did you ever consider your tax dollars pay for the healthcare of every prisoner and lawbreaker in custody?

You already pay for healthcare for criminals.

“My difficulty and objection to 0bamacare was the way it was passed into law”

Then thank Olympia Snowe for letting this abomination out of Committee. Wihtout her vote, it would never had made it.

I never favored the bill and everyone voting for it can be blamed. Not just the last vote that put the vote tally over the top. If anyone thet voted for the bill had switched their vote the same could be said for them.

I’m not sure why I must now pay for government run insurance I already have through Medicare and the VA.

>I suffer from advanced cancer, diabetes and I have had two heart attacks

Some day, death panels will be able to decide that someone in your condition is not worth wasting scarce health care dollars on. Hopefully you have enough resources to be able to obtain health care in another country, assuming that is not made illegal. Or, you could get a waiver if you belong to a favored political class. White middle class conservative? Forget it.

That’s a strawman argument. So because I’m forced to pay for some criminals, I should be forced to pay for additional criminals? Really? That’s like saying because the idiot in the WH has recently refused to enforce immigration law, we shouldn’t enforce other laws. Would you support that? Bet you call the cops if somebody breaks into your house or steals your car. Or is that a law that should be enforced?

"Those who would sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither"

The newly "transformed" America wants someone to take care of them, or feels they "deserve" a certain quality of life.

Elections have consequences, giving one party a mandate(especially the wrong one)obviously had constitutional consequences.

Serfdom is here. After 40+ years of brainwashing liberalism "democracy" reigns "supreme", Constitutional Republic will just be words for a(soon to be replaced)history book.

COngress can undo some things. But then you being a compassionate conservative who wants to care for those regardless of legal status will never get ‘er done.

Social Scei=urity was originally upheld because it was a tax. Look what that has wrought. You are delusional if you think Congress or anyone else is going to undo this. The Court (Roberts) was wrong and cowardly. They made a similar error with the Arizona law. This court is a joke.

And good luck getting the do nothing senate to repeal anything

First off dying is something we all do and death doesn't scare me.

Every day I get up I wish my wife of over 40 years a “GOOD MOANING!” and once you're over 60 you're leaning into the grave with 1 foot in it.

Personally the so called death panel doesn't run the Veterans Administration hospital's, clinic's and hospice's. Yet.

Then get to work. Get rid of the RINO’s and let’s get a super majority in the senate.

Just because live in Calistan didn’t stop me from donating $$$ to Scott Brown (Rino 4-sure) who took away ol’ Teddy’s seat or the help I gave to unseat Tommy DA Shill and many others.

I even gave a grand to former Congressman George Radanovich’s 1998 campaign. I wish I had more to give but I don’t. Food, Meds and gasoline on top of higher transportation costs for every product have eaten us all alive.

Time to get to work.

I have been at work for longer than you will ever know. Fact is there is no such thing as a compassionate conservative. You and the like of W. have sold us all out.

Oh and good luck getting ANY of the five to reconsider their vote. Congress may pass a repeal but the machinery has already started rolling. You can’t even see the steam roller coming at ya. what a loon

Here's the way it is, fact... like it or not.

Your choice is {insert drum roll here}ANARCHY or compliance with the law.

Every person in the United States legally or illegally is ENTITLED to medical help if needed. That's the law and YOU already pay for it. Every emergency room at every hospital pays for bandages, casts for broken limbs, medical tests etc. BY LAW and illegal or not can NOT be turned away.

WE ... you and I pay for that. I also do not agree with the premise if an illegal is hit by a car entering the country we should just leave them lay there as you appear to want because you have to pay for it.

Change the law if you don't agree with it as it exists or live with it.

So have I. As far back as 1974 at age 24, as a member of “The Little People’s Tax Advisory Committee” with the help of the US Attorney General, I kicked the IRS’s butt in Tax Court and to this day they have not bothered me again.
