It just came to me. Just like we have a humblegunner to smack down the blog-pimps, we need a FReeper to smack down the spamming religion-pimps.
Only problem is... THAT religion is the official religion here at FR. Already we have had the RM on this thread defending the spam that bothers most of us.
So.... Nothing will change.
Different strokes for different folks! I doubt I would spend much time on FR if there were no Religion threads. I think Free Republic should remain free from intolerance and bigotry - with the exception of LIBERALS and their LIBERAL ideas.

Yeah, duh. One of my first priorities upon joining this forum, was to quickly learn how to properly navigate and use the (very spare) functionalities offered.
Honestly, it's not that difficult. John Robinson designed this place very well, and anyone with a modicum of intention to do so, can quickly master the basic functions of the site.
I still roll my eyes when I see people asking for help posting images, then upon checking their sign up date, find that they've been here for over a decade.
Unfortunately, that also purges everything from all the other forums, like Chat, GOP Club, Smoky Back Room, Bloggers and Personal, etc. Some of the best stuff on FR is in those forums.
Personally, I peruse 'Everything', and have it set to just show titles and excerpts. I scroll past everything that is of little interest to me, and only click on those things that really catch my interest.
Exactly. Many of us enjoy the different forums, INCLUDING the RF. Simply would be nice/respectful if posters would LINK their cut and paste screeds so those that are NOT interested don’t have to scroll past pages of their own personal doctrine/masses/traditions/images, etc and what not.
