Way to go union thugs. You work in a sport that is dying and can use all the positive publicity it can get and now you threaten to shut down the biggest race of the year.

Starting gate workers have a union? I mean what horrible working conditions that must be.

off the subject BUT...

Arlington Horse track has a super 5 bet on their last race

I was wondering why it never got hit since the carryovers
are over 500,000..........

well I was at Sam Houston rp and the fellow next to me hit that race

he was real happy...but the screen said carryover
HE WON THAT RACE

guess what there is a rule that the jackpot is payed out
ONLY if there is ONE winner.

There have always been more than 1 so they don't pay it out

what a sucker bet!!!
and they never have posted this info

"Maintenance and starting gate",eh? Sounds pretty complicated to me.There's probably a 5 year apprenticeship (at $30/hr) and, upon graduation, you move up to $50/hr.

Filthy,worthless Communist union thugs.

The unions will fold easily.

After today's election, the last thing the big wigs of the left want is more embarrassment and negative press for the unions.

They'll fall right in line, as commanded.

It was kind of the Union to wait until they had track officials over a barrel to bring this up.

Because that is when they can apply the most pressure and have the best chance to get their demands.

Of course, that's how it's done!

But I suspect these track guys are pulling this crap on their own, and the larger labor movement leadership isn't going to be willing to take the international heat of cancelling the triple crown, because 150 track workers in NY are feeling their oats.

The Obama and Cuomo Administrations are going to slam them behind closed doors too. They really don't need this crap right now.
