As we look ahead to the Wisconsin primary, our efforts can take heart from the Texas primary election for the GOP Senate. Based on the past, we can expect a much-reduced participation level in either a run-off or recall election. Looking at Texas, it seems obvious that the battle will be waged in the major population areas of the state. Keeping that in mind, take a look at the early and election day results from the 10 largest voting counties in Texas.

Interesting that Dewhurst only prevailed in the Austin area and in Denton County (what’s in the water up there?)
Should tell us something about Dewhurst.
“... two of the more liberal counties.”
Denton County and Williamson County are not more liberal counties, they are two of the more conservative counties, dumbass.
The voters in those two counties know Dewhurst is more conservative than Cruz. The water has nothing to do with it.
Madison,wi had 32,000 absentee ballot requests in 2008, only 16,000 for this election.
Interesting, but WI is not run over by illegals like TX.
Interesting. I didn't know that about Denton County. I've only stepped foot in there a couple of times in the six years I've lived here.
Oh, you again. Our resident RINO sycophant.
Stick around. Maybe some horse sense will rub off on you.
I’m a Texan and you have me baffled, Austin looks for the most conservative candidates to vote for?
Austin county is one of our most conservative counties?
The Daily Caller lists it as one of America’s most liberal.
57. Travis County, Texas
Largest city: Austin
Austin has long been a liberal island in the red sea of Texas, housing a liberal intelligentsia based around the University of Texas and the state capitol.
Those numbers dont look right. The Texas SOS shows Cruz at 35% and Dewhurst at 30% for Collin County. Propaganda is fine, but dont go and start believing your own.
EARLY VOTES PERCENT TOTAL VOTES PERCENT
U. S. Senator
Glenn Addison REP 210 0. 82% 409 0.87%
Joe Agris REP 42 0.16% 68 0.14%

Here’s the source for my numbers; folks may want to verify other counties on their own.

They key in the Metroplex counties is going to be what happens to the Leppert vote. They tend to be country club republicans, so the best home may be that they stay home for the runoff.
Huh? I simply pasted in the chart from the article. It's not my propaganda.
Frankly, I don't think it's propaganda at all. You'd have to check with the author to find out what their source was for those numbers before you go accusing them of being a propagandist. For all I know, they may have gotten their numbers from the SofS's office before the final tallies were in.
When did Austin become the conservative place in Texas?
Craig James has thrown his support to Dewhurst, Tom Leppert hasn’t endorsed yet, but I think he will eventually endorse Dewhurst.
Your chart shows 730,000 total votes cast but the final number is actually 1,400,000. You also show Cruz at 38% but he really only got 34% to Dews 45%.
Cruz got 4 voters from my house and he will again but your source is a bit shady.
Of course I will stick around. Somebody has to talk some horse sense into people who have bought into the baseless Cruz attack ads against a real conservative, Lt. Gov. Dewhurst.
Also, you show Cruz getting over 50% in Fort Bend County (my home) but actually David got more votes in Ft Bend than did Cruz.
Early Total
Ted C 7,352 37.54% 15,275 43.30%
David 9,573 48.88% 15,383 43.61%
Sense like claiming that Austin is one of the conservative bastions of Texas?
How does posting non sense like that not make you look like a fool?
