In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise for our heroes in the American military who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Hi JC and hope your feeling better...I decided a while back any article with the name Obama is one to pass up...If it says democrat, its passed up. Even republican gets passed by. I stay away from religious debates, and love it when I get a hold of a thread that has me laughing out loud...it does wonders for your mental health...same goes for TV. I listen to Rush, but sometimes he's a downer and I turn him off...I have a few CD's of slot machines and Texas Hold um...the rest of the world can fly by, but I just hope I win...(wish I could do so in a real casino), but even in losing its not political.....

My poor dog who hasn't tried to go down the basement's since she went blind decided to try it as I was down the basement working in glass....I heard her hit every stair. All 13. Scared the bejebbers out of me...I got her on her feet and nothing was broken, she wasn't even limping but had one little problem. I couldn't get her back up the stairs so I found a towel in the basement and wrapped my boobies in the towel and walked her out the back door and around to the front of the house.....of course the garage door was closed, but I do have an electronic opener for the door...Its good I have no close neighbors.
