Not a good place to be, if you’re convicted of murder in Japan.
You get a room to yourself and a single lightbulb, that burns all the time, and meals.
That’s it.
Was stationed in Korea. As it was explained to me, Korean prisons don’t generally provide meals, that is the responsibility of the prisoner’s family/friends. This strikes me as a sensible policy. Heck, it may have been common practice in America at one time.

That is way to charitable for scumbags like this.
You want to get rid of murderers? Kill them. It thins out the shallow end of the gene pool.
We could learn a lot from Japan.
And too good for a murderer, at that.
