Japanese media will not be as coddling, nor politically correct/biased, I can assure you.

They harp Trayvon to death 24/7 because of the race of the tragic players. On this one, for the opposite reason, they will ignore or paper over and in no way will it become a Front Line Narrative story to push American discussion.

I for one think the crimes of horrendous Americans committed overseas in generally peaceful countries who are our allies, should be top news, front and center, and part of a SHAME campaign. America does not need to export this garbage. BIG mistake for US to grant a passport for the perp and BIG mistake for Japanese immigration to stamp his visa at Narita Airport and let him into the country. If guilty, hope they lock him up and throw away the key.
