Interestingly, PMSNBC’s Microsoft part may soon be bought back by NBCUniversal, which is a joint venture of Comcast and General Electric.
However, once they get control, NBCU may very well decide to purge them of radicals like Matthews, lest they taint the GE, Comcast, and NBC brand. PMSNBC’s efforts to become the “progressive” cable news channel have been an expensive bust, a money pit, which is another good reason to refurbish it.
Bitter, angry people like Olbermann, already gone, Matthews and the other mean, hateful and biased spewers are just not pleasant to watch, or particularly informative. To get the same effect, you can hang out in a bar full of such people and wait until they get drunk.
