You know that saying “there’s someone for everyone”? I don’t buy it. I don’t buy into that “soulmate” thing either.

Infidelity is another issue;I’m not gonna put myself out there so I can be betrayed and look like a fool.

A further thought...I have a friend, also Jewish (saw that on your page), who was going through the same thing not too long ago. Matchmakers, being set up by friends, singles dances and all that. All she was after, ultimately, was a guy who was decent and Jewish, and as she put it, “I was finding one or the other, but not BOTH!” And it was wearing her down too.

She met the man of her dreams—great guy, and half-Jewish-willing-to-convert—on a city bus while going to the library.

Keep your eyes open...never give up.
