BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities say a man plunged at least 180 feet over Niagara Falls and survived - only the third person known to have gone over without a safety device and lived.
Niagara Parks Police say witnesses reported seeing the man climb over a railing at 10:20 a.m. Monday some distance above Horseshoe Falls "and deliberately jump."

I was just there a few weeks ago. It did look like fun, if not for the rocks at the bottom.

I don’t think anyone’s ever survived the American Falls due to those rocks.
Canadian side, I have to stand back when I’m there - last time I was there, my friends and I all commented on how mesmerizing it is. You almost want to jump in.

Hey, what's that line from A Chorus Line? Suicide in Buffalo is redundant. (It's OK, I live in Buffalo.)

“You almost want to jump in.”
That’s funny, I had the same feeling when I was there.
Mrs. panax had just told me that her parents were going to extend their vacation with us for another week.
