That explains why the gays turned on her...notice that the gays adopted Cher as their icon from that era, instead of Donna. Which makes no sense really, unless Donna said something that ticked them off, or she wasn’t willing to be a “fag hag” for them.

That’s good to read. And not too surprising. Her being a preacher’s daughter, someone who truly did work hard for her money, and someone who didn’t feel the need to spew left wing political spiel in the press, this doesn’t surprise me in the least.

She didn’t go making political statements in public as all these hacks that feel carte blanche.

If you’re a conservative entertainer - it’s always “in the closet”. Otherwise you’re crucified and get no work.
