Don’t know if you remember any of those `I Love Lucy’ episodes where Lucy and Ricky were in Hollywood and terrorizing movie stars.
But in one episode John Wayne was the guest star. He was getting a `massage’ from a a male massuse/masseur—whatever.
But the Duke made it clear several times that he was getting a “rub-down,” not a massage!
I guess a `massage’ sounded too much like what long-haul truckers got in trailer parks from bored women in nightgowns. Or today, what Barry gets in bathhouses.
IMHO the Duke was right: straight guys don’t get massages from other guys.

Uh, huh. I do realize the Fifties were a different time. But, with all due respect to the Duke, even a “rub down” from another guy would be unpalatable (to me anyway). Quite frankly, I’m not even sure what the difference is between a rub down and a massage. Its still another guy touching your body to make you feel good. No thanks.
