Unless your a plant on this web site I must say your comment must be discussed.
I have been following the career both politically and privately of Newt Gingrich since I first noticed his ideology and heard him speak in congress during the 70’s on through. He was and still is my first preference, notice the word “preference” in this campaign. My support of Herman Cain was just as strong. I donated to both of them. To me Rich Santorum and Ron Paul just wouldn't be elected.
Now, I'm from Massachusetts, I lived under Mitt Romney's governorship for four years. His economic record here could be deemed a wild success considering the legislators he had to deal with. 80% Dumbocrats.
My point is, there is a process that selects our candidate for President and Mitt is in the lead and looks like he will win. I don't understand your reasoning for not voting for him. The alternative is disaster and will make your life miserable for a lot longer than the four years of his term. The most important thing to consider in this election is JOBS and how they will be created. The jobs Obama creates are mythical. If every week for 3 years we have three to four time unemployment sign ups vs jobs created, how can the unemployment rate go down. A total myth. So, please don't give Obama a second term by not voting. Consider your vote for Romney a vote against Obama instead of one for Romney and you'll feel better. Amen.

Many of the same conclusions I came to also. I was for Cain then Gingrich and held on for him as long as he seemed viable. It was obvious, however, from the beginning that the Left wanted Romney for the very reason we see happening -to split or lessen the Conservative vote. Without full support from voting Conservatives, Mitt could lose and Obama's chances are only increased. We will play right into their hands.

The Dems know that Obama cannot win on his record ...so his opponent has to be someone who will divide the Right, not unify us. Thus, they along with the liberal media, worked hard to gave us Mitt. Just like they did to us with McCain. We were stupid and we fell for it then; many did not vote at all rather than vote for McCain. For all the reasons we know, he was not the top pick of enough of us and so Obama won. Not by much, but enough. We can't let those lost votes of the past to remain lost.

And...it will happen again if we don't learn from the last election. The future downfall and destruction of our country under four more years of Obama will not be worth the satisfaction of holding out against the GOP candidate.

There is a lot about Romney that makes me very unhappy...but not nearly as much as what we know we will get with the current Occupier in the White House for another term. I might not sing his praises but I will not waste my vote and not use it to get Obama out. That will hurt everyone who values our morals, our military, our economic power, our Christian-Jewish heritage, and the freedoms our Constitution provides. I can't do that to my fellow countrymen, or my country.

Given another term, Obama will complete his plans to end our Republic as we know it, and then what will we have? Obama will install a new form of "ism" based on Hitler/Marx/Stalin's ideals and he will see to it that Sharia Law will take over in the Courts. Do we really want that to happen?

So we might not want to promote Romney here, or campaign for him, whatever...but we cannot hand another win to Obama as a protest against the GOP. Go to the polls wearing a sign, or a button or let it be known that you are only voting for Romney to keep Obama out. However you might want to express it...but, please, don't throw away your vote and do our country dirty out of spite.

Having lived under Mitt in MA, I will agree with you, wholeheartedly. He wasn't my guy in the primaries, and I didn't vote for him, but I WILL vote for him against Obama, because we just cannot afford four more years of that man.
