I won't presume to tell what you did or didn't see ... you were there. I wasn't.

I will tell you this:

I have been "chased" by the planet Venus while flying at night in a very remote area.

It was a trick of perception ... but for several minutes it was both convincing and frightening.

At that time, I happened to be on the ground standing next to a vehicle so I had a reference to judge the size by.

Once during a strenuous night flight under the direction of an instructor, I did observe a green meteor exploding/moving in odd directions. The instructor lightened up on my cockpit workload after I described what I had just seen... lol
