Yes, I totally get that. You certainly have a point, but the question is where is critical mass? At what point is it no longer profitable to produce (or port) games to the PC?

I hate console gaming, but fewer and fewer good games are designed and built for the PC. Mostly, they are console games ported to the PC. I fear the days of real PC games such as Crysis, Fallout 3, etc., may be short lived.

You have hit the nail on the head. I agree that the PC is the better interface for many kinds of games but the quality games will follow the money. BUT!! There is something this article is overlooking. Apple does not just kill markets they make ones where there wasn't one before. iOS games are not the same as PC games. I play plenty of angry birds but it does not cut into my WoW or KotOR time. ipads and ipods allow people to game in ways they didn't before. But for dedicated gamers that does not replace dedicated gaming time. It is just making MORE gamers, not replacing the existing ones.

I love my ipad but I can't raid on it.
