This makes the context clear. This was more a survey study over time rather than a clinical study, which is why they only claim an "association".
Btw, Wyman's sells frozen blueberries that are delicious. I add a 1/2 cup to my cereal each morning.

I have reversed my type 2 diabetes...took about a month to accomplish. I eat a Vegan diet along with aerobic exercise. Type 2 Diabetes...like hypertension are diet and lifestyle problems primarily that can be reversed or controlled better without drugs.
