As an additional factor...near as I can tell from my 2 minutes of Google searching, California does not have a "stop and identify" law. Thus, I don't know that he had to provide a name anyhow...

especially true because it seems like the LEO's basis for detention is tenuous at best.

2. Knowingly providing false identification
3. Failure to obey a lawful order
