DA is a very enjoyable series with many layers of intrigue, deception, and complex interpersonal relationships.
You’re a woman, right?
I LOVE Downton Abbey. Thanks for the heads-up.
“Youre a woman, right?”
You act as though there is something wrong with that? :)
On your recommendation I’ll check it out, randita.
Sometimes, programs without car chases can be good.
Watching the last episode of season one now: Matthew and Mary might hook up.
G. Beck would call this earning `bonnet’ credits towards football viewing.
That one footman, forget his name (the fartknocker) is a real stinker.
I LOVE it too. And one of the main characters, Lady Cora, is an American who is portrayed as wise, funny, likeable, steady, and full of common sense. She supplied the money that enabled the titled Grantham family to keep their huge estate. It’s an addictive program.
Nonsense. Masterpiece theater programs could use a few car chases!
If only Alistair was still around to provide introductions for Dukes of Hazard episodes...
I LOVE Downton Abbey!! I watched the first season on Netflix and can’t wait to see more.
With all the horrible stuff that is on TV today, this series is a breath of fresh air.
I can hardly wait until Sunday night.
I highly recommend that those of you who haven’t seen it,,,spend the weekend watching Season One on Netflix and then you’ll be ready for Season Two. :-)
iTunes also has the first season :-)
Love, love, love! Can’t wait! :)
It was my macho, sports fanatic son who got me hooked on DA-LOL. He liked it, too.
Prepare to fall hook, line, and sinker for Mr. Bates (if you’re a woman, that is).
Yes! Mr. Bates is such an honorable man, persevering in the midst of adversity.
I laughed when that guy dumped the snarky middle sister. She deserved that.
I saw this program advertised on PBS today. My curiosity has gone up and now I want to see it. Does Netflix caption the series, do you know?
And gunplay with gratuitous violence:

Thanks for the reminder...my wife and I have been waiting with anticipation for the second series to come out.
I was wondering if a fan would post something. I heard season 2 is even better than the first, how can that be possible???? Word is, you’ll like people you hated in the first season. Wonder if O’Brien makes amends for her dastardly deed done to Her Ladyship.
