They always own their likeness, and the photo was probably done by her photographer.

I remember feeling the same way after seeing recent photos of Goldie Hawn.

It’s a generic Barbie doll with the hairstyle and clothes of a TV sitcom character.

Nothing about the doll resembles anything unique about the actress.

I think it was the use of her likeness on the box and other materials.

While they would probably be free to use the image non-commercially, they cannot use it to make money.

Just as I have pictures of pro athletes in my office. I cannot sell them to the local pizza joint for them to use in advertising without clearing it through them.

[I’m 44 now.]

Wait until you are in your seventies, it’s like shock and awe in the morning but it does jump start my heart.

Dang dont want to go completely off Topic, Miss Ely was my Favorite, but anyone wanting to stroll down Memory Lane take a look at this site sort of a FR for sitcoms. Lots of pictures!

She had a nice figure but I would not say “buxom” as the article did.

Good list, they all kept me glued to the tube.

Of all the women I grew up lusting after as I was growing up, none of them could come close to the one who hung on my ceiling above my bed, She wasn't a television show babe though.

No, instead she graced the big screen, and she wasn't even that good of an actress. I must admit though, she has aged the best, because she still look good. For about 6 years she was the last person I saw when I went to sleep, and the first one I looked at when I woke up.

I speak of Raquel Welch of course, and the poster was from the movie, "1 Million B.C.". Quite cheesy by today's standards, but in 1966 the special effects were about as good as they got.

Sorry, neither one of those Gilligan's Island gals can hold a candle to the Petticoat Junction ladies.

You are correct. Those Petticoat Junction girls were beautiful, but somehow slipped through with barely a notice. Find 2 people out of a thousand that can even remember one of their names. Same with the rest of the cast. It was a good show but just never had the drawing power to bring the same young audiance in that were watching Gilligan, F-Troop, and Get Smart.

I was just looking at some pics from that show and noticed your comment, you might like this site has sitcoms back to the 50s. I am going thru them now and WOW what memories!
