>>Williamsburg, MA is the home of Williams College (don’t ask) a boutique college for the worthless spawn of well-to-do Northeasterners.
You are thinking of WilliamsTOWN, in the far west/north of the state - that is where Williams college is. WilliamsBURG is the town directly on the west border of Northampton - a good 45 minute drive from WillaimsTOWN.
Not that it matters all that much, but just setting the facts straight.
Thanks for pointing that out. Wife and I drove through Williamstown last October. Those quaint college towns are dispoiled by the idiotic political posters everywhere. My uncle went to Williams, I should know the difference.
My Uncle graduated from Williams around 1960 and immediately left for the Army, after which he got a real job. His father died in an industrial accident in 1939, and although he was the spawn of well-to-do Northeasterners, he was not at all worthless. I went to high school with a guy who is now a history professor at Williams. He started as an undergraduate at Columbia in 1968, but he seems to be relatively apolitical.
