The same thought passes through my mind as well.

He has, does, and will judge the nations. While the world frets about economic chaos, the backbreaker would be food shortage. The cornbelt (and soybeans as well) was nearly a big crop flop last summer. A couple of marginal rains made the difference, and the dry conditions caused many corn plants to just flat die, but only after filling out the ears. The normal maturing, drydown and death of the plants was probably faster than many farmers had ever seen. It was real close. Many ethanol plants almost certainly would have been mothballed for a year or more. No big loss there, but the food prices would have doubled or tripled had those barely sustainable showers not have come.

After seeing the news clips of the bad behavior on ‘black friday’, I’m sure a ‘little’ food shortage would be downright dangerous.

The King is coming.........again. Blessed be His NAME.
