The National Football League’s owners voted unanimously to approve the transfer of ownership of the Jaguars from Wayne Weaver to Khan. It was the first item on their agenda Wednesday, and they clapped for him as he re-entered the room, finally part of their exclusive club.

Here's another snippet from the article:

“A great dynamic guy,” Jim Irsay, the Indianapolis Colts owner and a member of the league’s finance committee, said of the Jaguars’ new owner. “What a great story and a success story he’s been. We’re really excited about him coming into the league.”

Khan is a Muzzie according to Debbie Schlussel.

The Florida Times-Union has an article titled Who is Shahid Khan? with more information about this native of Pakistan who is now the first minority to be a controlling owner of an NFL team.

“We’re really excited about him coming into the league.”

Of course, he’ll never personally touch the pigskin...

And get this: the approval for Khan was unanimous!

Moreover, Texans' Bob McNair says he thinks Shahid Khan would be great owner. I know there are plenty of Texans fans here on FR and their reactions will be interesting.

It seems like there was some conspiracy in which the seller sold his team to the highest bidder.

Yeah, ain’t that a bitch?

No biggie. I stopped watching NFL football games in 1992.

College football (minus Pedo State) is my sport of choice now.

Tim Tebow has brought a lot of new fans to the pro game and reclaimed some who gave it up due to the thug element. Overall, I'm in agreement. College ball beats the NFL without question. And the SEC is best of the bunch IMNSHO.

Tebow may very well be playing in Jacksonville....what’s the quickest way for the Jags to sell a lot more season tickets? Bring in Tebow, even if they have to offer Denver all of their 2012 Draft Picks.

Absolutely right. But if the new owner is a dyed-in-the-wool Islamist, would Tebow bow out from such a deal? Or, on the other hand, he may see the new owner as a potential convert to Christianity?

And, while on the topic of Tim Tebow, here's an article you may have missed from yesterday's paper by Kevin Sherrington: Cowboys could use some Tim Tebow magic in the fourth.

I can now see the consession stands all having to be halal.

There will be mandatory time-outs during the game so that the players on the field can face Mecca.

Play-by-play will be replaced by the call to prayer.

And ticket prices will be increased to reflect the jizyah.

I've got a lot of friends and colleagues in northeastern Florida (Jacksonville, Baldwin, Orange Park and other places -- they're good Christian Conservatives up in that part of Florida). If this new owner is going to push Islam in any way, the fans will stay away in droves (modulo a Tebow trade). Am I right dfwgator?

That may very well be his plan. Alienate all of Jax and then, presto, a new pro team in Los Angeles. Putting on my tin-foil hat, maybe that's why this sale got 100% approval? They see this as a means to relocate the franchise to a bigger market, something the NFL probably wants anyway.

No more Hail Mary passes as the last play of the game... but the bomb can still be thrown.
