CINCINNATI Eighth-ranked Xavier beat crosstown rival Cincinnati 76-53 Saturday in a game that featured a steady stream of trash talking and was called with 9.4 seconds left when the teams got into a brawl on court.
Words escalated into shoving and swings as the final seconds ticked down. Both benches cleared and coaches pulled their players away. The referees called it.

The brawl wasn’t nearly as indicative of the thuggishness that’s afoot here.
In the post-game presser, a couple of xavier thuggies were saying (in response to questions about why the brawl took place), in essence: “They a lot of gangstas out they on the flo’. If they be dissin us, we be messin dem up, yo.”
They need to kill those programs and start over, if at all.
I believe the student-athletes became embroiled in a discussion over the relative merits of nominalism and realism—it’s a perennial crux—and the arguments slid into the ad hominem variety.
Our culture has descended to a point that our constitutional republic will never be revived.
Just gettin in a little early training for their next step, the NBA.
Just don’t call them “nappy headed hos”.
They a lot of gangstas out they on the flo. If they be dissin us, we be messin dem up, yo.
Imagine their level of conversational skills if they hadn’t made it to college.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Insightful analysis.
I missed the game. Which coach was the knucklehead? Cronin or Mack?
Cancel the next 3 games for each team. End the seasons for those who threw punches, especially the criminal sucker puncher on Cinci.
Mack is a knucklehead. He helped set the tone for what happened, let his players talk trash the whole game, and didn’t call time to pull his players off and and let the bench finish the game.
I just saw a tape of it all. The thing that impressed me the most was the Cincinnati coach.....wow. He made them remove their uniforms and told them HE would decide if they ever had the honor of wearing them again. He said he stripped a uniform shirt off of one of his players. Told his players that there are plenty of young men who would die for a chance at a college education on a full scholarship and they are lucky to be getting this chance. He went on to say that after that disgusting brawl, HE was hoping he still had a coaching job. I am just so impressed with his words. Just wow.
