I’d like basketball because it helps the economy of the city where I live. Look at it from the standpoint of helping bars, stores and arena-workers make a living.
I look at it from the standpoint of having to pay an extra penny on the dollar in taxes when I go out to eat within a 30 mile radius of a taxpayer funded arena that I will never ever set foot in.
Just so a bunch of millionaires can keep all of their money and shove the cost of that team off on the state taxpayers.
