Why do you believe there should be “hundreds” of pics and videos out there on the ‘net?

I dont. I already know this from trying to find them on the net. I do believe that hundreds of photos and many hours of video was taken of these USO shows back in 1986. So I assume they are being archived somewhere offline, if not online. And theres always the chance that someone online just might have these photos or videos somewhere in their collections.

You “believe” there “should” be “hundreds” of pics and videos but you also have to remember that this is from 25 years ago.

While it’s *possible* that the USO (or, less likely, the Navy) has *some* documentation, I wouldn’t consider it too terribly likely that you’ll find a treasure trove of footage.

Think about it: We’re talking rolls of film, all of which need to be developed. And for what purpose? If all you’ve found so far is from the first day (as evidenced by those God-awful tights) it would be more prudent to assume that they shot a couple rolls of the first day and just passed those around as needed for the duration of the tour.

If I were you, I’d get ahold of the USO and try to find out who the photographer was in the first place. Then, assuming he’s (a) still alive and (b) has OCD and saved and cataloged 25-year-old photos, he’d be your best shot at getting pictures of the pretty lady you saw in 1986.

Well, what kind of documentation goes on with a USO show aboard a Navy ship? Does the ship have its own photographic/video crew? Does the USO bring its own photographers/video cameramen? And what usually happens to those pics/footage? I mean, what are they used for? Apparently there was video taken of the USO show on the Enterprise. Apparently for the benefit of those who could not be there to attend the show. Are copies made and given out or sold to crew members of the ship?
