Posters at the link point out that the steeple is being photographed in time lapse. The “rods” could be planes.
Also at the link there was a video of rods seen at a golf driving range. What they claim as a “rod” clearly looks like a ball from the golfer in the next bay.

Skeptics maintain there's nothing extraordinary about all of this -- the objects, they say, are merely insects flying very close to the camera lens. Right. But an insect very close to the camera lens would not disappear behind the steeples that are several hundred feet from the camera lens.
