After all, no trick or treater does it on their own. Others built the roads, the sidewalks. Provided the police and security. No such thing as a self made trick-or-treater.

In our township, Trick or Treat lasts until 9PM, and it is a school night besides.

My doorstep light is out and the door locked right after 9.

This year the kids will be getting mini popcorn bags (candy corn flavored)

Being a teacher I always get lots of kids, many adults (yes, I have been teaching that long) bring this kids by.

Last year over 130 trick or treaters. Most of the kids I know, but we do get kids from outside the township, who seem to be collecting their candy from the whole county.

Wow. I'm glad we are in a gated neighborhood that closes up the gates to non-residents after 6. A few would be cool, but that many would annoy me.

Sorry I can't help you here, I live so far out with sparse housing, acreage, mostly gated and fenced, that I haven't seen a trick or treater in over 20 years. Someone comes to my door at 8:00 it might not work out well for them!!

My daughter lives in a neighborhood where a lot of the parents dress up and go with the kids. Some of the moms are worth the 40 mile trip to be there helping hand out candy.
