I haven’t been watching closely, but seems to me, if you get to the World Series, you must be a pretty decent manager.
And I’ve enjoyed seeing Washington in the highlights, his reactions are fun. The man is clearly enjoying this ride.

Washington is a fine manager and his players are fiercely loyal. He played the game with passion and he manages with passion. He is the opposite of La Russa's cool as a cucumber approach, but in my opinion to be successful you need to be yourself and not pretend you're something you're not.
Hey, I like La Russa too. It's hard to argue about the approach of a guy who is behind the legendary McGraw in wins.
That said, his managing last night was bizarre.

A fan had a creative poster in the stands. The image of Ron Washington superimposed on a dollar bill with the inscription. "In Wash We Trust".... pretty cool stuff!
