We’re not apologizing because we know it was a very last minute change-of-heart decision on Palin’s part. It’s quite clear she wanted to run and was laying the groundwork (however unconventional) for doing so— until a recent turn of events and private reasons we won’t ever fully know...(probably some knowledge of GOP backroom issues we won’t be informed of for obvious reasons.)

Don’t be naive. She had to tell Fox News long ago that she wasn’t going to run, otherwise she and Fox probably would have run afoul of the FEC’s rules.
