California Dream Act Part II Signed by Brown
NBC -LA ^ | 10/8/2011 | AP Staff

Brown signed the second part of the California Dream Act, after approving the first half in July. Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill allowing illegal immigrant students applying to state universities to receive state-funded scholarships and financial aid.

AB131 by Democratic Assemblyman Gil Cedillo of Los Angeles is the second half of the California Dream Act. Brown, a Democrat, signed the first part in July, which approved private scholarships and loans for illegal immigrant students.

The bill requires the immigrant students to meet the same requirements as others but specifies they would only qualify for financial aid after all the other legal residents have applied.

Brown says the bill gives top students a chance to expand their educational opportunities.

The package is different from the federal Dream Act, which includes a path to citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants.

Brown's office announced the signings Saturday.

Proof that we don’t’ need to increase taxes, fee’s etc, etc, to add “revenues”.

California is flush with cash.

So much so that we can take on additional programs with out concern about funding or deficits.

You nailed it! Obviously, California has so much money they’ve run out of things to do with it. It’s time for them to start cutting taxes over there.

(A) Does Brown know illegals might falsify applications for govt monies? (B) Does Brown know it is a felony to falsify official documents? (C) Does Brown know which of their multiple identities illegals will use to get govt monies?

===========================================

Illegals are known to use multiple identities to suckup numerous govt freebies, while riding the US gravy train. Jose Madrigal, the Washington state rapist, had some 30 identities. Another illegal used multiple fake ID's to collect $3.5 million unemployment checks. Most of these "impoverished immigrants" pay several thousand dollars to establish multiple identities. They also get SS no's for anchor babies and use the no's themselves to suckup numerous US govt freebies.

RIDING THE US GRAVY TRAIN An illegal alien w/ wife and five children violates our borders. He gets a job mowing lawns for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that low wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, so each year, he files an Income Tax Return to get "EITC---earned income credit" of up to $3,200 scot-free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps and no deductible, no co-pay free health care. His children get free school breakfasts and lunches. The kids qualify for monthly SSI checks, faking ADD; the illegal and his wife get SSI if they fake being aged, blind or disabled; SSI qualifies them for Medicare. Plus illegals don't worry about pricey items like car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance, and qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

NOTE WELL: Earned Income Tax Credit is available only to immigrant workers who obtain legal work status. But the law allows immigrants to claim EITC for up to three years prior to obtaining that status. Workers simply file a tax return for the years in which they were not legally eligible to work in the US. The most widespread abuse stems from the requirement that children live with the worker for more than six months of the year. IRS does little to verify the claim. Many immigrants claim non-existent children, or claim children who they’ve left behind with relatives. Those with two or more children and income below $32,121 could get as much as $4,008. It is estimated that illegals got $22 billion.

Oakland Police Dept Mug Shot: Mishel Caviness, Hayward, accused of
running a large-scale operation devoted to stealing people's identities.

HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA -- A Hayward woman has been charged with numerous felony counts for allegedly running an identity-theft operation that created fake Social Security and California identification cards, checks and credit cards. Mishel Caviness, 40, was arrested after an investigation by Oakland police and the U.S. Secret Service.

The probe began when an Oakland city employee reported in January that someone was fraudulently cashing her checks, according to police Officer Ryan Goodfellow and court records. Caviness was identified with the help of surveillance-camera footage from Bay Area stores, police said.

A search of her apartment on the 21000 block of Foothill Boulevard in Hayward last week uncovered a printing operation capable of making fake checks and credit cards, police said. Also found were 900 blank credit cards, personal information belonging to as many as 1,000 people, blank checks and computers, police said.

Alameda County prosecutors charged Caviness with forgery, identity theft, forgery of a driver's license and grand theft. She has a previous conviction for welfare fraud and told police that she is disabled and unemployed. She is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin in lieu of $325,000 bail.

We’ve got a lot of commie libs moving into Arizona. They are planning on trying to tame Arizona and teach us how to be good, obedient communists. I don’t know right now but they are definitely trying to outnumber us. Arizona is heading down the same road California went down.

Damn that sucks and I liked AZ too..I think if I had a choice I would move to Texas, seems like a really nice place to live..I was born and raised in Cali so I have all of my family here. But if I had to choose a place to live it would probably be Texas, maybe there I would actually have a shot at getting a job, unlike here in Cali where I can’t find squat

Makes me think of that Sprint commercial where they guy signs up his family for unlimited talk.

His wife says, Where is that money coming from, Steve???

He thinks it is free . . . wait till his wife finds out what it cost him to get that “free” deal.

How are they going to pay the financial aid loan back after they graduate since they cannot lawfully get a job because they are undocumented? These loans make subprime loans that brought this economy down look like AAA prime loans. Perhaps Brown can have Goldman bundle them up as undocumented backed securities derivatives, have S and P give them a AAA rating and sell them to the European banks to enhance their Greek sovereign debt portfolios.

Cal Grants are financial aid grants (not loans)for students from families that have income and assets below established ceilings. An illegal alien family is likely to obtain income under-the-table, or unreported, and is therefore much more likely to qualify for the grants, compared to students from taxpaying families. This new law privileges illegal aliens students over students from families with enough income and and assets to be taxpayers.

Here is a link to the income ceilings for Cal Grant recipients:
