As I was reading this, I was thinking about how the police, DA, etc. were obfuscating and delaying, in the hopes the public outrage would die down, so they can quietly release their *findings* once public sentiment and focus have shifted to other matters. The fact that you were able to "recall correctly" the basic circumstances, means they'll have to wait a little longer until people don't recall correctly, or don't recall at all.

I wasn’t 100% sure if I remembered the exact case. For example, I remember the case where the deaf Native American was shot in the back. I remember this one as well. Then there was the story about a Vet who was shot at a Costco? Hate to say this but with so many “questionable” cases involving police on citizen homicides... I struggle with keeping the facts straight. I don’t struggle with how disturbing and frightening the trend is...
