So you are a strong advocate for enhancing apoptosis?

Great post thanks for sharing. Sorry there always has to be some smarta$$ sending zingers when people are just trying to share information.

I got that one time when I shared a Dr. mis-diagnosing glaucoma which I got “cured” by a chiropractor.

there’s no iodine in it.

the only products that come with enough,in the right ratio, of iodine and iodide, are Iodoral and Lugol’s.

Spot on SJ.

Say it with me everybody:
Magnesium
Iodine
Selenium

These are the minerals that will keep you healthy. I highly suggest magnesium chloride topically, nascent iodine, and selenium (which is usually good if you take a good multi). It's difficult to get enough magnesium orally because of the adverse digestive effects (think Milk of Magnesia), and bioavailable iodine is difficult to get in a regular diet.

Further, cellular apoptosis is the future of cancer treatments. Cancer cells are regular cells that have de-evolved. They are very very persistent and aggressive cells. The best way to kill them is to make them kill themselves.

“Iodine is the trigger mechanism for apoptosis (that natural death of cells) and the main surveillance mechanism for abnormal cells in the body. Iodine triggers the death of cells which are abnormal or which have normal programmed death as part of their life cycle.

“This is part of a general thesis that iodine and thyroid hormone act as a team to provide a constant surveillance against abnormal cell development, chemicals that are carcinogenic and the spread of cancer cells within the body.

spot on to you as well :)

I take high doses of mag malate which CURED my husband of fybromyalgia but I’m also now taking mag chloride in a pill form and will switch completely when my mag malate is gone.

I like to tell people that God told us in Genesis that from the dust we were made....dust is dirt and dirt is minerals :)

Why not a natural apoptosis method instead of taking chemicals?

Wonder why Iceland is number 1. I’ll be digging for more now. lol This sort of thing fascinates.

Thanks again Liz

When I was a kid the older folks would put a drop of iodine in a glass of water and drink it, after the tablespoon of cod liver oil.

All this sexy drug crap is a big farce. Before y'all flame me I understand there are drugs that treat disease and save lives and are necessary. What I'm saying is that in order to stave of dis-ease one must have proper nutrition. There was a reason Noah lived so long. The secret is in the minerals.

exactly right. a direct link between thyroid issues and bc. My theory, worth what you paid for it :) is...people that are hypER thyroid are getting enough iodine in their thyroid but not the rest of their body and are set up for cancers more so than hypO thyroid but all are at risk.

And all thyroid issues are related to iodine deficiency. Graves, hashimotos, nodules, goiter, hypo, hyper

Uh...NO!

Most Breast Cancer caused by use of Birth Control Pills!
The “studies” that pretend to refute this, are cleverly worded crapola.
They refuse to use control groups who have NEVER used BCPs.

I’m not trying to catch you at anything. Just wondering if you had more information. You are advocating excess iodine therapy beyond what we acquire in a natural diet. Iodine does indeed induce apoptosis. However it also induces oxidative stress and is cytotoxic to heathy cells. So this kind of therapy is at odds with the mopping up of free-radicals through antioxidant therapy. These free-radical oxidants from apoptosis are a leading cause of diseases of the body. So, while iodine may be protective for certain types of cancer in tissue cultures, the use of excess iodine generates oxidative stress in healthy tissue, which leads to a wide range of diseases in the body.
