There have been earlier reports the youth vote has abandoned Nobama.

This is good, very good.

But it is the electoral college that counts.

We must GOTV. If you are in a swing state, please get involved. We cannot have one more day of Obama than we absolutely must

Again, it all depends on who the Republicans run. It’s a long way until November 2012.

Most young people prefer to have a job.

Most young people live from their parents and the government and have their heads for of idealistic nonsense and socialist garbage from their so-called education. They're just smart enough to be dangerous. Dangerous with a car, alcohol, sex, weapon, or even at the election booth.

I have an acquaintence in a VERY liberal bastion of this country. This person is in their late 20’s and has a lot of Gay friends. I was talking to this person about two months ago regarding politics and they said even their gay friends are abandoning him. This person said it was kinda weird how many friends who were huge Obama supporters no are not just neutral. They don’t like him. Period.

Of course, they are the “thinking” liberals that have satisfied their liberal white guilt so now they will vote the man. I don’t think they will vote republican though. I think they will simply not vote.

BTW, tie this into the “segmented” unemployment figures I read on FR yesterday where they said the unemployment rate for americans over 55 was around 6% but for young people it was in the high 20’s. No wonder they’re done with him.

He’ll still get the racist vote, of course, but that will not be enough. The liberal white guilt has finally been eliminated. I think this only had to happen once. It will never be an issue again. That is actually a good thin.

Obama can not possibly win next november. He may even get primaried. A LOT can happen between now and then. And we are going to be in exponentially worse shape by next summer.

What gets me is young people can’t stand to be told what to do, but meanwhile they think Socialism is a good idea. The government telling you what you can do and can’t, I don’t think they know what they are asking for.

I see individuals and countries going through a purification and cleansing process these days. Perhaps Zero’s election is a very big part of it. You may be correct about white guilt having been purged.

I’m still looking for information or actions to surface that will at least get him some primary competition, if not impeached. Problem is, the ‘rats are in between a rock and a hard place with this. Blood bath convention, or blood bath election?

Never discount the stupidity of young people. And today's generation of under 30 are unquestionably the stupidest in the history of the country. So it wouldn't surprise me to see these people once again vote for Obama no matter what this article says. They are just that dumb.

Your post is interesting. Part of what you say is true. It's true that many very foolish whites (43%) voted for Obama and many of those were out of white guilt. It didn't hurt that the Republicans had a candidate who 60% of their rank didn't like at all. But I'm not sure how much more can be extracted from liberal white guilt. There seems to be an inexhaustible pool of this. We will see what happens. But I'm not so confident he will lose in 2012. Here's my reasoning.

1. He's gonna get 95% of the black vote no matter what. We could have 50% inflation and 50% unemployment and blacks are gonna vote for him purely for racial reasons. This cannot be changed (at least in the short term).

2. He's gonna get 75% of the Hispanic Vote no matter what. They see this as their best opportunity for amnesty.

3. He's gonna get 50% (at least) of the die hard Democratic White Voters. These troglodytes still think the Democratic party is the party of Harry Truman. Old habits die hard.

4. He's still gonna get the under 30 vote. This will happen despite the miserable numbers of unemployment on the young people. He may not get the numbers that he got in 2008 but he will get 60% at least. Remember this is the stupidest and least informed group of under 30 people in the history of the country.

5. Government Worker's He's gonna get 65% of their vote.

6. Union Members-He's gonna get the majority of their votes.

Now many of these groups are the same people so these numbers are difficult. But I wouldn't count out Obama now, not by a long shot.

I'm from the H.L. Mencken School of thinking. Remember his famous quote:

"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public. "

All of those who voted fr him last time are out of college now and the hopium has worn off to reality. If thy are lucky they have Mom and Dad supporting them if not then they are home with Mom and Dad who both have lost their jobs and are on the count down to losing everything if that has not already happened.

Don’t be so sure about #6.We are a union household here and I’d guess 50% of households like mine do not vote democrat.

I understand everything you are saying, but that information was all true in 2008 and it was not a landslide. I think a LOT of those people will simply not vote this time. And it won’t take many of them to opt out for him to lose. I know of one absolute yellow dog democrat (anecdotal, but still...) that will NEVER vote republican, but he will also not vote for Obama this time. He’ll vote, but he will NOT pull that lever for Obama. He considers him poison to the country.

And the young generation has wised up to Obama. As have union members, except the raw democratic core. Remember, one of the issues regarding unions is members being forced to pay even though they vote republican. There are actually quite a few of them.

And on top of all this is my strong belief that the economy and culture will be in MUCH worse condition by next summer. As bad as Obama looks now, he looks splendid compared to where he will be next year, barring a miracle from God (or he is the antichrist, in which case all bets are off, but at least we know where in human history we stand)

For me, it is that cut and dried. I don’t expect him to be the democratic nominee next year. Heck, he may not even still be president. I wouldn’t be surprised. With this rank amateur, NOTHING surprises me.

You might guess, but you would be wrong. A substantial majority of Union Households vote for Democratic Candidates. Now this isn't true in every election. Reagan carried a lot of Union Households and won a majority, but only a slight majority. But on average, the Union Members vote for Democrats. I hope this election they come to their senses.
