KANSAS CITY, Mo. Six people inside a Kansas City home were shocked to find an SUV sitting in their attic after hearing a loud boom Wednesday night.
The residents of the home said they heard the loud boom and found the SUV in their attic at about 8:30 p.m.
We were in my daughters room watching TV when we heard the noise, said Michelle Brown.
Brown said her son discovered the SUV as he was leaving to go to the store.
He said, Mama, theres a truck in the ceiling! Brown said. And Im like, A truck in the ceiling? And we all ran out of the house.
When police arrived, they found three people inside the SUV.
And the police came and they pulled some people out of the truck because they were still in the truck, Brown said. I dont know how they got up there, but theyre up there!

Okay. I hear a noise like that, likely accompanied by the shaking of my house, things falling off walls, shelves, etc... I get up immediately and try to figure out what it was. These morons sit there until Junior has to go to the store?
There’s a video here and elsewhere.
From the article:
(the driver came to a T intersection and didn’t stop.)
“The incident happened late Wednesday night near 43rd and Kensington when police say that an out-of-control driver jumped a curb and used the slope of the yard as a launching pad into the family’s attic.”
“Police aren’t sure how fast the driver, 20-year-old Kristopher Ploof, and his two passengers were travelling when the incident happened, but they are sure that he never bothered to stop at the stop sign by the house. Brown says that once he was stuck in the attic, Ploof tried to put the vehicle in reverse.”
‘”He had to be going at least 90-100 miles an hour, at least a hundred to get that high up,” said Williams.’
