Is your scanner a flatbed, or one of those printer/scanner/fax machines? How did you get the resolution? I'm curious. Thanks.

The Epson 3590 is a small flatbed that has a feed mechanism for 35mm built in. I can get enough resolution to stall my computer if I set it to0 high.
I scanned these at 3200DPI. That gives a TIFF file of about 32MB, much more than I need but I'm not in a hurry.
