Amazing, all of it. It is a sad commentary. I do not expect them to personally respond to me, nor shold they necessarily have to. There is not enough time in the day. The problem is that I’m sure the correspondence to their offices has been overwhelmingly against the legislation, and yet they choose not to address that fact. We are lost, I’m afraid.
Back in the day when we didn't have email, I had a full page handwritten response from Millicent Fenwick. I also had several of those pro-forma typed responses where she added a handwritten note on the side or as a postscript.
Today it's much easier to even have a staffer actually respond, but it would be too much to expect from the bloated staffs these guys have.
