'I am upset that no one came to rescue us in the dark, but a taxi driver appeared from nowhere and charged me $20 to take me to the terminal. I had to pay, but in times of emergencies, you don't charge people for a ride.'

—Passenger Geeta Ramsingh of Philadelphia

What a whiner. Typical Obama voter - whines cause no one takes care of her.

She’ll be getting plenty from Caribbean Airlines to cover her cab fare.

That cabbie probably came over there to loot the bodies...was surprised to see the living.

But charging her $20? That’s the way it is in a banana republic...get used to it sister, it’s coming your way too. Maybe Obama will give you a lift next time.

Been on that very airline and landed at that very airport. Geogetown or G-Town as the locals call it. Most flights originate locally like Port of Spain Trinidad which is a short 30 minute hop.

This was their first accident in the 72 years they’ve been in business. Pretty remarkable.

Of course they can’t possibly have THAT many flights. It’s not like it is Botswana or some other financial hub ;)

Why didn't she invite a couple of other passengers to help split the fare?

I had no idea you could stuff 157 people on a 737.
Stand in the aisle?

The -900 series can carry as many as 215. The -800 (as this one was) can hold 184.
