I believe she was a tool for North Viet Nam. She was young and ignorant of how this would be portrayed, and she’s paid a price for it.

However, those who are ignorant shouldn’t get a pass on their actions.

I hope she will always and forever be remembered for her treasonous ways.

Please see my two previous post. Fonda is still at it today! (supporting the revolutionary communist movement).

“If you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would some day become communist. . . . I, a socialist, think that we should strive toward a socialist society, all the way to communism.”

JANE FONDA

I take her statement literally, and strongly doubt she's walked it back even a little bit.

In my old-school view, communism is Stalin's starvations and purges, Mao's tens of millions of murders, Pol Pot's two million, Castro's hundred thousand, and the Kim regime's decades of luxury for the czar and starvation for the people.

She understands she is of an elite who will never have to live by the codes it prescribes--such is the privilege of the vanguard.

She is from a famous acting family, she had already won an Oscar, her father had won an Oscar, her brother’s movie had been nominated for Oscars, she was born into the media and publicity, she was not some naive victim that did not understand photo ops and publicity, and star power, etc.

The Oscar winning actress traveled to the country we were at war with, she was a media expert, and dedicated.

The act actually helped advance her career in Hollywood.

She was 35, and had been rich, powerful, and a celebrity all of her life, she was already an Oscar winning actress at age 35 with a huge acting career behind her and her family.

Let’s see born in 1937, appeared in propaganda for the NVA at age 34 in 1971. Hardly “young”, but certainly ignorant. And at 74 still doesn’t get it. There’s nothing more pathetic than an OLD liberal. Usually people wise up long before that.
