If only Jean Shepherd were around to wax on such incidents.

To quote an oft-used line by another (regional) radio host when such
incidents come to his attention: "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished".

I once watched a guy try to impress his girl by grabbing a chipmunk off a picknik table. He succeeded only to have the thing chew across the skin between his thumb and forefinger faster than he could blink. It looked like he stuck his hand in a sewing machine and was bleeding profusely. I tried not to laugh.
