I took these pics in Joplin yesterday. If you look way towards the back of the pictures, you can see the treeline, that's where the tornado ended. You can see they've got electrical lines up and traffic lights but the debris around is still horrible.

Prior to the tornado, you would not have been able to see anything with the houses and businesses there but now you can see for a mile.

My camera was full but I also drove by the Dollar store, the front was gone but the contents were still inside, standing nicely on shelves. Was pretty weird, I don't know if someone straightened up or if it just ended up that way. Also weird that it hadn't been looted.

I heard that Rush is going to be in Joplin on the 4th of July.

The news here has been saying in the past couple of days that they are going to cite the residents that haven’t cleaned up yet. Can you believe that??? The city will go in and then bill the residents. Unbelievable...many of those residents have lost family members, and all of their belongings and Joplin is threatening them.

Despicable imho.

Our church is going to Joplin to help rebuild. I am donating a week of my time. Will be aug,sept or oct. No date set but I signed up.
