It’s a bad joke, I know. But a joke nonetheless.
You may not believe this with all the stuff said about Louisiana and New Orleans, but almost EVERYONE who leaves here,mourns. I have friends who are dying to get back home who were displaced after Katrina and found jobs in other areas. It is the people, history, food - it’s the Big Easy. Once a year New Orleans has the greatest party ever, Mardi Gras, hundreds of thousands come, they enjoy and leave with mostly good memories of great hospitality. But, then there is always this one joker, one we thought we got rid of, one we thought we had seen the last of and....he’s back! Just like cockroaches - can’t seem to get rid of them. They thrive here whether we like it or not - we’re stuck!
Yeah, well, every Eden has its serpent-head, right?
