Several days ago I put up a thread asking for prayers for a young Marine who had suffered severe injuries in an IED blast. I did not use his name at that time, for the sake of the family's privacy. However, his name has been made public, so it's okay to write more about his situation and family. His name is Mark Andrew Bradley, and he is a USMC Sniper Scout.
The prayers of many have so far borne him up, and he has survived his injuries though he was not initially thought able to survive even the first surgeries. Now he faces extremely serious neurological problems. His life is still in the most grave jeopardy and I would like to ask that those who care continue to lift him (and his brother, mother, and wife) up in prayer.
The link above is for a list of events this organization holds, and if you go about 1/4 of the way down the page you'll see in red letters information about the fundraising event for Sgt Bradley.
Also, there is a Facebook page for him, his next fundraiser on June 26, and status updates.
Keep praying, folks. "The prayers of a righteous man availeth much."
God Blees and Heal this young Marine.
Prayers for Mark and his family!
Dear Heavenly Father, please heal your child, Mark. May Your comfort be felt by his family and friends. In this I pray. Amen.
Prayers up for this brave Warrior and his family. Dear God, please send your healing and comfort.
May he and his feel the power of the Holy Spirit.
Prayers up!
Thank you for this thread ottbmare.
May God heal this young man, and bring his family comfort in this difficult time.
May God bless.
Tatt
Prayers for Sgt Bradley and all who love and support him. Did he get to Maryland yet? Will you steer us toward occasional updates?
We went through similar: the 3 sons (from prior marriages, 1 for me and 2 for my husband) were all 3 at Fallujah, Iraq for the tide-turning invasion on 11/8/2004. The oldest was gravely wounded, double amputee, spent 22 months inpatient at Bethesda and Walter Reed. Because of the experience, I guess I sort of question that there are fundraising events being held so early on.
I will pray for this hero. Thank you for sharing the story.
I’m glad to hear he has made it through so far. I will continue to pray for him and send a donation.
God Bless You NEMDF for your family’s sacrifices. All of you are in our prayers.
From Mother of A Marine, thoughts and prayers for you and your family. May the Lords healing hands being over this precious Marine...
AFAIK he's still in Germany and far, far too fragile to move. There was something said by his mother about going to Walter Reed initially instead of Bethesda, and that sort of confused me--isn't Walter Reed for Army casualties and Bethesda for Navy and Marines? I was hoping it would be Bethesda because that would be closer for me and more importantly for his wife.
And yes, of course I will provide updates as I receive them. I won't ask for them, however, since that poor family has enough on its plate.

I hope your son is healing, mentally and physically. He will have prayers, not only from me but from the many people who are going to read this thread. May God send him every blessing.

I have no connection with the fundraising events, but surely you are not suggesting that I or someone else fabricated the website that I posted and that these fundraisers aren't really taking place? It sounds to me as if he just has some friends who are good at organizing things and knew Mrs Bradley would need financial help.
God in His wisdom has decided to take Mark home. This morning the hematoma in his brain got out of control, and despite the noble labor of his surgeons, he died.
His wife, Samantha, thanks all of you for your prayers. I will continue to lift her up in prayer as she will need comfort.
Semper Fi, Marine.
I was saddened to read this morning that Sgt Bradley at passed away. Prayers for his wife and loved ones, as well as the Marines with whom he served. Semper Fi, Sgt Bradley.
