I don't get this. Unemployment ticked up to 9% last month. Gas and food prices are on the rise. And yet in almost every major poll, Obama's over 50%.
Don't tell me it's because Americans are stupid; Obama's numbers have been dreadful until recently. I know he got a bounce from the Bin Laden killing, but what's going on now?
Those polls have layers, just like the BC.

While that may be true, it doesn’t explain why Obama’s numbers were awful until just a few weeks ago.

Oversample democRATS and Obozo does better. Have the sample sizes reflect the R-D-I breakdown and Zero goes below 40%
Americans are unimaginably, indescribably, amazingly stupid. Dem congress for 55 of 70 years, Carter, Clinton I, Clinton II!!!!, Obama!!!!!! Obama???? Are you f’ing kidding me? What more evidence do you need? He was 15 years old, he’d been in the Senate for 30 mins, the ONLY!!!!!! things known about the man were his vicious, anti-American hate, and yet...., he’s in the White House.

Because people haven’t suffered enough (financially) yet to overcome their fear of being called names and ‘defriended’ by going against the meme that Obama is Jesus Christ incarnate.

Dont believe them. The media and pollsters are obamas official ball lickers. Go read any story about obama and its a puff piece. Then read the comments. 90 % are negative about him, and that includes articles in yahoo, abc, aol, etc. He is really hated out there by the majority of this country.
Every week they say that unemployment, trending up, is now 9% or 9.9% or whatever. Bullstalin. It’s been over 10%. Cooking the books doesn’t change the reality of the situation.
No, it’s Trump’s fault.
As in when Trump was “running”, Obama’s numbers were dropping.
Now that Trump is out of the picture - and there is NO ONE on the right to challenge Obama - - Naturally his numbers are good.
And this will continue until we have a solid conservative to speak on the issues.

It all depends on how the questions are asked.
The Bin Laden execution is bigger than some people want to admit. It’s the only factor to explain his improved numbers - his performance on everything else has been abysmal.
Can a Bin Laden Bounce sustain itself through the election cycle? Probably not. But I have no doubt he’ll milk it for every last bit it’s worth. It might even be enough to pull him through, if the republicans in the race continue to be snooze-worthy.
Yahoo comments aren’t so easy to read, or even count anymore. They now trend articles so when you see comments below it, they may date back to similar subjects from a week or a month before (the posters are not necessarily anything posted to THAT specific article).
I saw that too. I read the comments on a Politico article—one that was supposed to be pro-Obama. The comments were brutal. And Politico is a liberal site. So you are absolutely right. The hatred is palpable, and not even the pollsters will be able to hide it indefinitely. Sooner or later they will have to start doing realistic samples, and then the numbers will dive.
