In San Antone in the 60’s, Whataburger was fantastic, even Dairy Queen tried to copy their recipe.
However, I tried a couple different WB franchises in San Angelo and Kerrville and was underwhelmed. I was embarrassed because I had talked it up to my friend from NC and it was pretty average. Same thing with DQ, all these joints are regressing to a low average to compete with MacD and BK.
