All the years I have eaten at IN N OUT, since around 1968 when they put up a location in Hacienda Heights, CA just 3 blocks from where I grew up.........Never had a double double. IN N OUT is the ONLY burger joint I get a cheeseburger. I typically only get a regular hamburger at 5 guys or Carl’s Jr.

But that IN N OUT cheeseburger seems to be perfection. The book says PGA Phil Mickelson eats at IN N OUT so often, the sports reporters tell him maybe he should ease up on the “double doubles” when he’s in a slump.

The Book also says Bob Hope had an IN N OUT burger once, and from then on, he enjoyed it so much, he had to have one weekly. When they put an IN N OUT near his Toluca Lake home in North Hollywood, Hope loved to drive thru and chat with the employees.

Since Phil was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis last year, he's actually had to become a vegetarian. I don't think it was a lifestyle choice, but rather necessary so that his treatments were maximally effective.

I've had an In n' Out burger once in my life, when I went to visit my uncle in Palm Springs. Indeed, it was an awesome burger. Luckily, I live in Central Ohio so I have access to a Thurman Burger. I'll console myself with that.
