Yeah, my daughter-in-law carries because she walks her dog in the Davis Mountains, but I never thought my daughter would encounter one right by a city in Grapevine, Texas.
Don’t know if she would consider a gun or not. But thanks.

Not sure how old your daughter is, but I would recommend she get her concealed handgun license and arm herself. Good insurance for 2-legged critters too.
At the very least, maybe carry a walking stick?

Coyotes show very little fear in areas where they are not hunted. They will attack dogs and humans (particularly children) if given the opportunity. They also can operate in packs, magnifying the danger.
If I were in an area where coyotes area bold enough to approach humans, I would carry a firearm.
