Honestly I don’t know much about McCarthy aside from his communist hunt.
I just have no interest in games. If Trump has something, he needs to release it so we can move forward.

But this isn't Neverland. If Trump put everything on the table tonight, the MSM would be done with it by Monday. Trump has to keep them guessing too, maybe even more than he has to keep Obama guessing.

McCarthy was right, and IMHO, his sidekick, the young Dick Nixon were doing the right thing. (if you study the whole timespan it helps to explain Nixon’s paranoia. He WAS right, though. There were people out to get him.)
But...
You are correct in the premise of not dragging this out. May have been a major contributing factor in McCarthy’s demise. However, I do not believe Trump is shackled by any elected office and is a private citizen. He may be right to drag this out as he is ever the “Showman”.
Time will tell.
