Its true which is why its very important to encase blueberries in a protective pod of sugar, butter and dough called a blueberry cobbler. LOL!!

On a serious note, I start each morning with a smoothie made with 1 cup frozen blueberries, half a banana cut in pieces and frozen, 1 cup plain fat free yogurt, a few walnuts, all whirled in a blender. Gets me through the morning.
