The three breeds that seem to maul the most are Pitbulls, Rottweilers, and Dobies.
Normally, when it’s a pit bull, they will be sure to mention it. Either way, if the dog was coming from a business, it was most likely a guard dog, so the breed shouldn’t even matter. Dogs trained to attack have no place in public. Even police dogs shouldn’t be allowed to run loose. There’s just too much risk when a dog has been encouraged to bite with that kind of force.
Anyway, dobies haven’t been in the news for years. In 2010, 9 different breeds were responsible for fatalities, none of which were dobies. In 2009, there were 16 different breeds, also none of which were dobies. Dobies are not popular anymore with the “wrong” people, even though the breed still is popular with regular folks. This is most likely why they have not been involved in fatal attacks. The breed of dog has very little to do with it when all factors are considered.
